Strengthen the capacity within communities to identify
and effectively address natural resource issues
through education, training, technical assistance,
and grant funds, when available
Provide comprehensive continuing education and
training programs for local officials, natural resource
professionals and educators
To prevent tick borne illnesses, including Lyme disease,
babesiosis, and anaplasmosis via education,
surveillance and deer tick intervention on Cape Cod,
Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket
Barnstable County Shade Tree Nursery
Barnstable County Municipal Shade Tree Nursery was established in 1999 to provide low maintenance trees at below wholesale prices to municipalities in Barnstable County. These trees will be used on municipal streets, parks, schools, golf courses, etc.
