Children's Gardens
In the Master Gardener children’s gardens, children aged 8-14 are paired up one-on-one with a Master Gardener mentor and learn how to plan and grow a garden from start to finish. They learn how to make a plot plan for their own gardens, then plant, water, stake and weed around their plants. They discover new bugs and learn about plant diseases and organic methods for treating them. Each child also has the opportunity to work a garden of their own, selecting their own flowers and vegetables to grow.
The Children’s Gardens are in Marstons Mills and Brewster. The program runs from May – September and meets on a weekday after school.
